Dyson has slashed the price of its PencilWash cordless hard floor cleaner to an all-time low for Prime Day, cutting $150 off its regular $350 price tag. The powered wet mop joins Dyson’s unusual product lineup alongside the similarly quirky PencilVac Fluffycones vacuum, sharing the brand’s signature sleek design language while narrowing its focus to one task: cleaning hard floors.

The PencilWash simplifies the PencilVac’s concept into a dedicated electric mop, featuring a slim head and pivoting neck designed to glide under furniture and reach tight spaces. Its self-propelling brush helps manage the device’s roughly five-pound weight during use, though the added burden of a water tank becomes noticeable when tackling stairs or vertical surfaces.

With a 300ml water tank, the PencilWash can theoretically cover up to 1,000 square feet on a single fill, while Dyson claims 30 minutes of runtime before docking for recharge. That’s on par with many premium cordless vacuums, though the single-purpose design means it won’t double as a dry vacuum like the PencilVac.

At $199.99, the PencilWash undercuts the $600 PencilVac Fluffycones by a significant margin, positioning it as a niche but affordable entry into Dyson’s cordless ecosystem.
